Sudbury School of Dance studio attire

Sudbury School of Dance offers a family atmoshpere and a nurturing environment while promoting discipline and excellence in dance.

preparing for dance class

Neat attire is part of the beauty and self-discipline of dance training, and shows that you take your class seriously. With that in mind, here are a few tips to help you get ready to dance:

  • Remember to include the following in your dance bag:

    • a clean leotard

    • clean tights

    • ballet slippers and/or jazz shoes

    • everything you need to make a bun (ballet) or ponytail (jazz and modern)

  • Remember to arrive a few minutes early for class so that you have time to get dressed, do your hair and - of course - warm up properly! A good warm-up can help prevent injury!

  • Remember to remove all jewelry before class so that you don't injure yourself or others.
