Studio policies

Lateness or absence

Due to the current COVID-19 policy, students should arrive approximately 5 minutes before class.  Please call the studio if you will be late. Please complete the online absence form if your child will be absent from class. Students must be picked up immediately after class.

Missed/cancelled classes

Unless otherwise arranged, classes missed by a student are non-refundable.  If a class is cancelled due to instructor absence, you will be notified by an email and/or phone call and arrangements will be made for a make up class at a future date. Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled at the discretion of the studio.

Outside footwear

Outside footwear is NOT permitted past the entry area of the studio. All dancers, parents and visitors are asked to remove their outside footwear upon entering the building.  Please carry shoes/boots downstairs to the mats provided.  Please do NOT leave footwear at the main entrance as it is a tripping hazard.

Recital

The studio holds an annual year-end recital in the spring. It is important for students to have consistent attendance leading up to the recital, as this helps their entire class to be well prepared for performance. Extra rehearsals may be scheduled prior to the recital.  It is important that all students attend. There is no charge for extra rehearsals, but the cost of costumes and tickets to performances are extra.

Withdrawing from classes

A student who withdraws from classes before the third class in a term will receive a refund for the remainder of the term.  After the third class, no refunds will be made for the term; however, postdated cheques for subsequent terms will be returned.
